How our Website Designers and Graphic Designers work | Bristol | Aardvark Creative

How we work

We’re great believers in simplicity and that shows in the way we work. It means we’ve a pricing policy that’s open and honest, it means that the people you meet will be the ones doing the work, and it means that even our web-developers (famously fond of acronyms) speak plain English.

What’s more it means we take a non-nonsense attitude to everything we do, from a single mailer to an entire marketing campaign.

The process

First, we take some details from you, with regard to your requirements. We will ask if you need brand development, a leaflet, a brochure, a website, if you need to be able to sell products online, and suchlike.

Next, we will have a discussion with you to ascertain the core business values and ‘personality’ of your company, which will guide the designs that we create.

If the job is relatively straightforward, we can put a quote together for you right away. If it's a bit more complicated, we will come to see you for a face-to-face discussion, at your premises - because we know your time is valuable.

From these things, we prepare for you a fixed quote and, for more complicated Web jobs, a technical specification for you to review. If this quote is acceptable, we will invoice a pre-payment of 50% of the project cost, as per our terms of business.

Production then begins of initial visuals (usually as JPEGs or PDFs) of some possible looks for the brand / brochure / website etc, followed by a discussion with you to determine your preferences from these. Then a second, more refined visual will be produced with your comments in mind. And so on.

Once we reach the stage where a visual is approved by you, artwork / construction begins. You will be able to review progress via a secure Client Area on our website, 24 hours a day.

You will have a final opportunity to review the print item / website once it is complete, before it goes to print or goes live. Don't worry - nothing goes to print or goes live until it is expressly signed off by you as OK to do so.

And lastly, once your item has gone to print or been made live, we invoice the remaining 50% - this may be split into additional smaller stages if the project term is likely to exceed 60 days in length. Our credit terms are strictly 14 days from date of invoice (7 days for pre-payment invoices).
